“In the face of the immense socio-environmental challenge, true strength lies in collaboration; together, we can create a transformative impact.”
About Mariel
I am a Mexican woman, deeply committed to and passionate about nature and its biocultural richness. A lover of animals, I find in them a daily source of inspiration and learning, and they represent for me the purest expression of love that life has given me.
As a graduate in Natural Resource Management, my vocation led me to found a socio-environmental project in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, focused on addressing the challenges in the Bosque de Agua region, beginning with the Espíritu Santo State Reserve. Along this journey, I found my life’s mission.
I face each obstacle with determination and with the clear intent to protectthe Espíritu Santo State Reserve and promote education for sustainable development, fostering the conservation and preservation of the ecosystems and the natural and cultural heritage of the Bosque de Agua.
Since 2021, I have been working at Amigos por el Bosque de Agua, A.C., where I continue to consolidate this dream. I am convinced that change arises from civil society, with a deep commitment to defending the rights of both people and nature.
